Xiangshan Visitor Center 

A modern lakeside building designed by a renowned architect, featuring curved concrete forms that blend with the natural landscape. Inside are scenic terraces, tourism info, and environmental displays — a perfect introduction to Sun Moon Lake.

Sun Moon Lake Trail / Cycling Route 

Famous for its picturesque lakeside cycling and walking paths, the route winds through forests, boardwalks, and waterfronts. Named one of the “Top 10 Cycling Routes in the World.”

Shuishe Pier (Boat Ride)

The main pier at Sun Moon Lake, offering boat rides to Ita Thao and Xuanguang Temple. The cruise allows visitors to admire the lake’s scenery from the water — a classic way to experience the area.

Ita Thao Old Street

A lively market street near the Thao aboriginal village. Known for local delicacies like wild boar sausage, bamboo rice, and Assam milk tea, alongside craft shops and souvenirs.

Cancellation Policies

  • Full refund for cancellations made more than 7 days before departure.
  • If canceled 2 to 7 days before departure, a 30% cancellation fee of the total tour cost will be charged.
  • If canceled 1 day before departure, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
  • No refund will be provided for cancellations made on the day of departure.
  • In case of force majeure (e.g. typhoon, earthquake, severe sea or road conditions, government-imposed travel bans, lockdowns due to epidemics, or mountain closures), a 95% refund will be issued after deducting necessary administrative and regulatory fees (5% of the total tour cost).

About Departure and Postponement

In the event of natural disasters (such as earthquakes, typhoons, or heavy rain), road closures, or other unexpected events affecting travel safety before departure, our company reserves the right to determine whether the trip will proceed as scheduled. We will coordinate with guests to postpone or handle refunds according to the cancellation policy.

In-Vehicle Rules

To maintain quality and cleanliness in the vehicle, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited: eating and drinking, smoking, applying sunscreen, taking off shoes, kicking the seatback, spitting out of the window, or littering. If you feel unwell, please inform the driver and request a vomit bag. Any damage to or soiling of the vehicle’s interior equipment must be compensated for in cash on-site at replacement cost.

Weather Impact Statement

If weather conditions result in certain attractions not being at their ideal viewing condition, this cannot be used as a reason for cancellation or refund. Thank you for your understanding.

Flexible Itinerary Adjustments

If delays, changes in attractions, or route adjustments occur due to traffic, weather, or other force majeure factors, the itinerary will be adjusted flexibly as needed. The company does not bear liability for any related compensation, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Not at all – each stop allows 30–60 minutes for sightseeing, making it a comfortable pace for all ages.

Yes! Let us know when booking and we’ll adjust based on your preferences. 

Q3|Can we start from somewhere else besides Taichung? 

The default is round trip from Taichung, but we can arrange alternatives—just ask! 

Q4|Can we request a child safety seat? 

Yes, it’s free! Just tell us your child’s age and height when booking. 

Q5|Will the driver take our photos? 

Most drivers are happy to help, but they’re not pros—bring your camera! 

Q6|Can we request an English-speaking driver? 

Mandarin-speaking drivers are standard. For English-speaking drivers, contact us in advance for custom arrangements.
