Highlights

  • Hehuanshan Wuling: One of Taiwan’s highest highways, known for cloud vistas and dramatic skylines.
  • Cingjing Farm & Green Green Grasslands: Iconic for its grazing sheep and open pasture views.
  • Skywalk Trail: Suspended above the valleys for a stunning aerial stroll.
  • Small Swiss Garden & Carton King: Whimsical gardens and creative paper art displays.
  • Optional route: Sun Moon Lake with lakeside views and a visit to HOHOCHA Tea Factory.

Overview

  • Start from Taichung and head into the highlands for fresh air and open scenery.
  • Explore lush fields and walking paths of Cingjing.
  • Choose either the Hehuanshan scenic drive or lakeside tranquility at Sun Moon Lake.

Hehuanshan (Wuling)

Part of Taiwan’s “100 Peaks,” Wuling is the highest accessible point by road in Taiwan at 3,275 meters above sea level. The scenic lookout offers sweeping views of surrounding peaks and cloud seas. On clear days, visitors can see the Qilai Mountain range; snow is possible in winter.

Qingjing Farm

A highland farm located at 1,750 meters above sea level, featuring cool weather and alpine scenery. The farm has pastures with sheep and cattle, making it a perfect family destination and summer retreat.

Green Green Grasslands

The most popular area in Qingjing Farm, where sheep roam freely across open meadows. Sheep-shearing shows and dog-herding demonstrations are held regularly — a favorite for kids.

Skywalk

A 1.6 km walkway suspended along the mountain slope, offering panoramic views of the Central Mountain Range. Walking the Skywalk feels like strolling through the clouds.

Small Swiss Garden

A European-style garden with ponds, fountains, flower beds, and seasonal blooms. Romantic lighting at night gives it a fairy-tale atmosphere, earning it the nickname “Little Switzerland of Taiwan.”

Carton King Creativity Park

A themed park built almost entirely from cardboard and paper materials. Structures, furniture, and decorations are all made from paper, with gift shops and themed restaurants — fun and creative for all ages.

Sun Moon Lake

Taiwan’s largest natural lake, named for its shape resembling the sun and moon. The area offers boat cruises, lakeside biking, and indigenous Thao culture. A must-see destination in central Taiwan.

Hohocha Tea Culture Center

A red tea–themed cultural park located in Yuchi, Nantou. Visitors can learn about Taiwan’s tea-making process, enjoy tastings, and try DIY tea activities. A fun and educational stop for families and tea lovers.
